Predicador Blanco is a white wine from the DO Rioja produced by Bodega Contador. It is a blend of Garnacha Blanca (42%), Viura (33%) and Malvasía (25%) from our own farms planted in the towns of San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Briones. One of the keys at Bodega Contador is the meticulous attention to the accumulation of details during the different stages of production. The land is only fertilized for a few years, and always with organic matter made in the same winery from sheep manure. Bodega Contador applies biodynamic guidelines throughout the process. The flower must ferments in new French oak barrels, undergoes a 48-hour cold maceration and fermentation at a controlled temperature of between 15-18ºC. Predicador Blanco is aged for 8 months in new French oak barrels (30%) and single wine barrels (70%). An excellent white wine with a passage through wood that gives it a special character.
Tasting note
Predicador Blanco 2018 is a mature white wine with aromas of stone fruits, white flowers and aromatic herbs combined with a mineral background and elegant notes of wood. On the palate it is fruity, voluminous and with good structure. With good acidity, it presents a bright freshness and a long finish.
